About This Chapter
In this short scene, Iaras's father explains that he has offered to help his son change into the proper attire of the palace. Hilna protests that her brother is not worthy of the title of "princess" because he does not show any signs of character or wisdom aside from his appearance. He tells her that he expects no less from her since he was raised by her father. He says that he was hoping that the two of them would learn to grow together since they are of the same age and become motherly figures to the entire nation. He suggests that perhaps they could allow him to keep some of his traditional clothing to remind him of his father's benevolence. He thanks his father for his kindness and says that she will dress in this new attire from now on. He adds that he will punish her if she does not behave in a proper manner. He then tells her to be quiet and not to think that she has been absolved of any responsibility for her behavior. He reminds her that she was bullying her father and that she must hold him accountable for this. He promises to visit her in the god forsaken tower where she will be let go of him.
