In this chapter, we get a brief description of what it is like to be in the middle of a volcano. The volcano is erupting, and the Volscians are trapped in the cave below. They have no way of knowing if another cave is going to break through, so they're going to launch a rescue operation, but it's going to be a long, drawn-out operation, and they need to get to the bottom of the volcano pronto.
