It's been a while since Fagin has been in a good mood, and he's worried that something is wrong with him. He's also worried about his sister, who's in the middle of a fight with another man. He tries to calm her down, but she's not having it. She tells him that she'll have to stay away from her brother for the rest of the night, and that she won't leave him if he causes her any more trouble. He finally comes out of his hiding place and asks Fagin to come out of the room. Fagin is all, "Who are you?" and "Is she your relative?" and so on and so forth. Then he asks if she is his sister.
