In this chapter, we learn that the Duke plans to kill all of the servants in the Duke's family if they don't come forward and tell the truth about what happened to elena. He's also going to kill two of the "pure bloods" , since they're the ones who were withholding information. The Duke promises to erase all of elena's memories of him, but he doesn't want to do it as a punishment. He just wants her to be happy. He tells her that he's going to change the family's name, and he hopes that she'll come with him.
