About This Chapter
The narrator complains that he has never been to a place like the one he's about to enter. He's not a prude, but he'd like to work at a place where his "friar lifestyle" doesn't pay for itself. The manager tells him to come in and talk to him. He tells the narrator that they're short-staffed and that he should go outside and get changed. The narrator asks the manager if the guy is the one who was mentioned in the previous chapter. He says that he is, and the manager invites him inside. He asks the man if he smells "amazing." The narrator says that the man smells like a "human cutie" , and he says that's because the man is "different from other hooligans" . He then tells the man not to "play coy" with him because he is a waiter, and then he tells him not to think highly of himself because he just got "roasted" by a waiter. He laughs at the man's blushes and tells him that he'll be laughing at him for the rest
