The narrator tells us that the "pure blooded beasts" of the academy have arrived. He asks the young man if he would like to meet him. The young man says he's tired and wants to go back to his room. The narrator asks him if he'd like to drink some human juice. He says it tastes "like juice" to him, but he doesn't want to drink it himself. Instead, he asks him to call him bayern. He calls him "sweet and innocent" , and the narrator apologizes for the way he treated him. She says she took him for someone else, and she's sorry that he treated her this way. She goes outside to get some fresh air. She feels like she needs "life force" .
