The narrator tells us that he's not sure what happened at the pool. He doesn't remember what happened, but he does know that it's been a long time since he was a half-demon. He's also not sure that the contract he signed with the academy was a good one. He says that they're not bonded together, but that they bonded together because they were "bonded together" long ago. The narrator says that he wants to be the "original form of you" . He kisses her, and she says that she wants to have him as her own. She kisses him, and he kisses her back. He wakes up earlier than she does, and the narrator realizes that he always wakes earlier than her. He also realizes that his sense of smell has gotten better since he became a half demon. He smells like a "wild animal" , which reminds him of the time he left a mark on her.
