This chapter opens with a soliloquy by baize, in which he tells the reader that he is back and will not leave again. He tells the audience that he has recovered all his strength thanks to the power of the core, and that he will continue to use the core's power to strengthen his power. He says that the power core is a tool, but he will not let the core be used without asking him first. He reminds the audience of the fact that he was the one who gave the power to the core in the first place, and he says that he can use the power because of the spirit that he left in the core. He asks the audience to remember that he himself is the master of this power, because of his strand of spirit. If he does not tell the audience his purpose, he will take action. He will kill the core and become the god of it. The audience wonders why he would do this, since he knows that he cannot change the outcome of the game. He replies that killing the core with his own hands is not the same as killing him with the help of baize. The only difference between the two is that baize will know his plan, and the two will not be able to alter the outcome. He adds that he still has one more plan, which is to integrate the core into his body and become him.
