This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, where we learn that the "Crystal of Chaos Beast" was developed by the alchemist, and that it was the same kind of "defective product" that the alchemist used to develop the "mass-produced power core" . This is a reference to the fact that the Chaos Beast's crystal took all of the alchemist's power and drove the alchemist to use more of his own power. The flashback also reveals that we are now introduced to the protagonist, who is now called "Qianxue." The protagonist explains that he has been keeping a close eye on the "weird" crystals that alchemists use to develop their products. He has been experimenting with these strange crystals just to find out what kind of crystals they are made of. The protagonist tells us that he ate the "crystal of chaos beast" , and he has no choice but to kill the "hades" for him. He tells the protagonist that he does not care about his family's lineage, because he only cares about the protagonist. He also tells him that the protagonist is the "princess of the night-souls," and that he must be with the protagonist because he "only cares about you." He asks the protagonist why he trusted him so much, to which the protagonist replies that he was "a bit sweet," but that he did not trust the protagonist as much as he should have.
