In this chapter, we learn that boltons were once a noble tribe in the Holy Land, but that they were exiled from it by the night-souls, who believed that the core of the kingdom was in the Chaos Death area, and that they needed a map of this area so they could cultivate their boltons' talent, the ice-world, to enter the core. This map was given to the new king of night souls by the old king's mother, and she gave it to her son as a gift.
