In this chapter, the "green dragon" and the "rosefinch" reveal themselves to be the "former supreme deity" and "an on-looker hiding in" , respectively. The green dragon tells the "underling" that he will not force him to do anything, because he is a "supreme deity" . He also tells the underling that he does not want to meet him because he has a "string of my spirit" attached to the core of the power, while he is "neither dead nor alive". The two men agree to help each other in order to win the love of the "poor girl" who does not have any one to help her.
