This chapter opens with a conversation between a member of the green wolf guild and the leader of the dragon guild. The two guilds are on their way to the holy realm, and they pass by a magical beast forest. The guild leader tells them that the forest is full of magical beasts, and that there is a "beast tide" ahead. He tells the guild leader that he has a deal with them: if they can fight the tide, he'll give them 30 percent of the revenue. The leader is surprised that the leader didn't request more money, and wonders if the leader is just trying to get rid of the beast tide.
