In this chapter, we learn that the battle between the Mings and the Phaedrus will take place in the near future. In the meantime, the battle will be fought by all the clans of the world, including the powerful ones that have been fighting against each other for the past ten years. This means that there will be a new generation of night souls who will be able to lead them back to the throne of the night. This new generation will be led by a girl named Quyinxue, who has inherited the ability to lead night souls. She has been able to do so because she has been married by marriage for so long that she is used to being able to "linite" with other night souls for the benefit of the clan. She is also able to use the night soul sword, which can only be wielded by a patriarch of night, called "scythe," to cut anyone in the world. This is the same sword that was used against her brother and her father in the previous chapter. This time, she wants to use it on her brother, who is still alive. She tells him to stop using the sword, because she is using it on him. She reminds him that he tried to protect her with his life, but he was driven away from home and killed. This reminds her of all the soldiers who have died in the battle for her brother.
