At the beginning of the next chapter, we find the princess of night souls gasping for breath. She's been waiting for the prince to come to her, but he hasn't come yet. The princess tells us that she's tired and needs to get back to the city. She says that she and the prince will stay away from each other for a while, so that she can deal with some business. She tells the prince that he'll have to tell her what to do if he wants to see other women. The prince asks her why she wants to go with him, and she says that the boy wants her to go because he's worried about her. She doesn't want to let anyone else hook up with the prince, so she reluctantly agrees to go along with him. When the prince asks if she'll let the prince go alone, the princess says that it's too long a story, but she can't refuse the boy's request. She asks the prince if he'd like to kill the prince and leave the city together, but the prince says that's not as serious as he thinks it is. He says that he still has feelings for the night-souls, but that they attacked him first, so he won't treat them any more. He also says that, now that they've attacked him and killed him, he will leave them to the prince.
