The rumble of the Underground Man's hammers is heard all over the place. It's clear that the underground man has been tricked into thinking that he's stumbled upon a treasure map. He's not fooled, though, because the map has a lot of hidden passageways. The Underground Man is convinced that the map is part of a trap, and he can't figure out who's going to benefit from the treasure map in the end. The underground man is so excited that he starts to cry.
