He tells her to go shopping, but she refuses to go because she is afraid of what the commotion will do to her reputation. She says that she didn't realize there was a fair at the temple, and that there were so many people there that she should have stayed home. She asks the monk if he can solve the riddle about love, and the monk tells her that he can. He says that the love of perfect couples lasts forever and that he has solved the riddle for the girl. He is happy to have her as a gift from him, and says that he is happy in his life because he was born a monk. He asks the girl if she would still choose to become a monk if she were given the choice to go back to her childhood.
