This chapter opens with a flashback to one of the most famous incidents in the novel: the time that buyan was arrested at the police station. The girl who was pursuing buyan at the time is now a student at the school where the incident took place. The flashback shows the girl's reaction to the events of that day. She is shocked to find that the two men look the same, and she wonders why they do not have a police officer to protect them. The two men explain that they have been away from the shop for several days, but that the shop has now been closed. She asks if he has changed his tone of conversation with her, and he says that he has promised her that he would change. She wonders if she is attracted to him because of this, or if she likes him because he is not like her. He tells her that she has feelings for him, and that she can send him a message if she's shy.
