In this chapter, we learn that Lu Qian wants to return to high school and take the entrance exam to get a job in the legal profession. We learn that he's been rejected by many employers for not having a college degree, and that he wants to study music and become a songwriter. We also learn that, in addition to his job, Lu is considering getting a post-graduate degree in his college. He wants to enroll in a high school in the city where he works, so that he can take the college entrance exams in a year's time. He also wants to learn how to read so that, when he gets to college, he'll be able to pass the entrance exams.
