The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the novel, when the protagonist is still in high school. He is in the middle of a conversation with his friend, the planner, when suddenly the protagonist realizes that he has been interrupted by a message from the planner's wife, the most beautiful tui . The planner thanks the tui for her help in dissuading the hater, and the two of them become fast friends. The tui sing a new song, which the protagonist has written himself. The lyrics of the song have been modified by a famous singer, but the lyrics are still the same as the original.
