The girl, however, has already expressed her love to him and he has refused her proposal. He has fallen for her since he was in the 7th grade, and now he is finally ready to express his love to her. He asks why he has not been able to propose to her, and she confesses that she has loved him since she was a child. She tells him that if he wants to marry her, he must be more beautiful than he is. She begs him not to say yes to her proposal, but he says that he must not say yes because she is prettier than him.
