About This Chapter
In this chapter, we're introduced to the concept of "in leglock hell" . We learn that there are two kinds of "heel hooks" , one inside and one outside . Twisting the heel outward is called an "outside heel hook," and twisting the heel inside is called "an inside heel hook." The problem, according to the narrator, is that Masuoka is using an "inside" heel hook, which means that he's trying to slip out of the grip of his opponent's leg. The problem is that, as the narrator explains, "the tricky part" of an inside-heel hook is that it's hard to escape. So, if you're an expert at this, you've got a pretty good idea of how to get out of this "trap." The narrator then explains that there's only one way to escape this trap: by using an outside "heel hook." If you want to escape, you have to twist the heel inward, which is a lot more difficult than twisting it outward. The narrator explains that this is why, when they last fought, "Masuoka was getting desperate !" . He tells us that, since the last fight, "he's off balance ! . . Mc now ! Mc ! whirl is that... an inside heel... got cha !" The narrator tells us to stay calm, grab lots of will of the "shoop" and "torque" the "hell outta" in his leg. He's surprised that he twisted it out, but says that his knees are "even more flexible" than his own. He says that if he can "use those feet" to move, he'll be able to "submit him" ! The narrator suggests that the amateur should let "him punch" and then use the "positioning" technique to "draw him into
