In this chapter, we meet a girl who's about to enter her senior year of high school. We learn that she's a "girl gusto fan" with the "Amateur" . She's got a crush on a guy named "maki" , and she'd like to know why he's such a bad influence on her classmates. We also learn that "maki," as she calls him, is "kind of a ghost" in class because he refuses to talk to anyone. She tells us that "he's just like a nut to crack" when it comes to dealing with teachers, and that "the kid's like a tough ally to crack." She also tells us about the "bitter sweet story" of her middle school days, when she and "maki chan" teamed up with a boy named "this one boy" to train for a fight. The boy was "stuck a shrimp" in a gym class, and the girl in the gym class was "one much cuter, and more petite." The girl was so impressed by the "perfectly but ventually" sparring that she decided to train with the boy as well. We're also told that the girl's "grap pling" is "shaping up too," which is a fancy way of saying that she has "that triangle down" to a science class. The girl wonders why she switched from kickboxing to "mma," and the answer is that "stubbornness" is what keeps her from pursuing sports.
