About This Chapter
The next morning, Mishima continues to train. He tells us that he's been sparring with Mishima's sparring partner, Takeshi, who wants to spar with him at the upcoming Shooto Nationals. Mishima says that he doesn't think Mishima has anything more important to his life than fighting, but Mishima is sure that he has something important to say. He says he'll continue to train in Japan until he makes the jump to the states, and then he can beat anyone in the world. He also says that Mishima can still beat anyone if he keeps working hard. After Mishima finishes his morning session, he goes home to eat, nap, and study for entrance exams. He then goes back to the gym to work on his boxing skills. He asks Mishima how to get a choke on an opponent, and Mishima tells him to raise his boxing gloves so that the opponent can't get too close to him, and to flip the opponent back and forth so that he can regain control of the fight.
