In this chapter, we're introduced to two of the fighters who will be competing in the light-weight division at the upcoming Pancrase tournament. We're told that the first fighter, Miyu, has been training in MMA for six months, while the second fighter, Juha, has only been practicing in wrestling for a little over a year. Miyu is a little taller and stronger than Juha , but Miyu doesn't have as much reach as Juha because of his lats , so Miyu has to use quick footwork to counter Miyu's quickness and agility. Juha thinks that Miyu will be able to take down Miyu in the first round, but that he'll have a hard time doing so in the second round because Miyu isn't as good a wrestler as Miyu. He's also a little too old to get into slugfests like Miyu does, so he tells Juha not to let Miyu "murder" him out there in the ring.
