In this chapter, we learn that Mimaki's secret is that he's about to lose a month's worth of weight at the upcoming World Championships in Mexico City. Mimaki tells us that he and Maria have been hanging out at the gym all day, and that Maria is always trying to get him to pass a triangle with her arm. He's got a suggestion for how to do it: when Maria gets under a guard, he should wrap her arm around his thigh and raise his leg. If he tries to squeeze her wrist, he can just hook his thigh with his foot. Then he can flip her over and pull her back. He says he'll get Mimaki for this, and Mimaki is all, "I beat Maria hell yeah !" . After Mimaki finishes this exercise, he tells us, "i love me some hathumido chestnut, yokan" . Um, that's a little creepy, right? Mimaki says, "blood lust disgust pride, which is it" , and they head off to get some food.
