This is a locked chapterChapter 27: There Are a Lot of Things to Do in Life
About This Chapter
It's the end of June, and the amateur shooto tournament is just around the corner. This is the only tournament that you get to devote all of your time to, so you're going to have to win it to get into college. You've got to go to school, get a good grade, and practice all the time. You can't just go to the gym and do nothing. You have to do homework, study, and do all the other stuff you need to do in order to get good grades in school. You don't get to do all of these things on Sundays, so it's hard to make it to the tournament on time. We're guessing that you've been sparring with Nabe a lot lately. He's breaking his knee and passing the guard so well that he'd beat meguru if I went full force. They're both sparring in a place, so they can learn from each other. They can learn to fight each other, too, because they're fighting in the same place. It'll be interesting to see how they handle each other's kicks, which are so different from the kicks they used to use to beat each other in the past. You know, the kicks that you used to kick when you were a kid, like a left hook and a right mid kick. Now, you can kick a straight left or a right to the body, but you have to fight with more reach, because you'll have to knee him in the face. Nabe's been getting a lot of pain in his ass lately, and he's not going to be able to finish him.
