About This Chapter
The night before the fight, a fighter got injured and had to go down to 77.5 kg to prepare for the fight. The next day, the fighter comes to the training room and tells the other fighters that he has been injured. The other fighters tell the fighter to take his time going down. The fighter says that he's not sure if he'll be able to keep up with the pro training menu, but that's it. He's thinking of throwing a left straight at the opponent's body. He says that if he bends down, the opponent will just step back like a left hook. He tells the fighters to keep their eyes on the ground. He also says that the fighter used technique instead of brute strength to get out. He compares the fighter's technique to how he used to counter a low kick with a left mid. He thinks the fighter actually used technique to get away from the opponent instead of using brute strength. He asks the fighter why he chose to train with him, and the fighter tells him that it was too late to stop out now. He adds that he was thinking of landing a right punch to the body, but he hasn't landed one in a match before. He goes on to say that if the fighter bends down , he will just get back step like a jab. He then tells the fighter that he can throw straights if he keeps his eyes up and keeps his ears up. He doesn't know how to throw a straight if he can't keep his eyes open, so he tells him to keep them up and keep his head down. He gives the fighter a hard time about throwing straights because he thinks they'll backstep like a right hook. Then he says that when he throws a straight, he thinks it's going to be like a kick to the back of the head. He wonders if the opponent is going to kick him in the gut. He wants to know if he got the right kick just right. Then the fighter asks him if he had the right epon just right by him . The fight is still two weeks away, so the fighter says he'd better go down and prepare for it. When the fighter
