About This Chapter
The magmellians have arrived at the lair, and they're ready to begin tracking. They're still not happy about the task, though, because they've been working all day on their recipe. They don't have time to make healthy breakfast for their son, so they need to find a way to keep him updated on their progress. The elder magmellian tells us that their primary goal isn't just killing off the intruders, but rescuing the young man. He's not sure if he'll betray them, but he's pretty sure that he won't. He also says that if they give him another five or ten years, his chances of defeating him will probably be about the same as if he were younger. Yayage, he says, will become the "biggest supporting pillar" of the magmelians' prosperity in the future. He adds that if he had known earlier that Yayage had such potential, he would have killed him without hesitation. But now that he knows, Yayage is in a shock. They need to bring him along so they can examine him while they continue to track down the intruders.
