Five years have passed. Inyo and zero have returned to Diditoo Island, where they met before. They've been asked to work for the fishmongers, and they've agreed to do so. The fishmonger's boss tells them that there's nothing new about their physical abilities, but that their lives have always been full of dangers. He tells them to become laches as soon as they can, so that the family can lend their support. He asks if they want to kill the monster, but the monster says he'd rather die than let it kill him. The monster begs the owner to let him kill her, but she refuses, saying it's too dangerous. The owner tells her that she has to pay her medical bills, and the monster tells her to pay him an extra fee. He says that she's his property, and he's going to protect her from anyone who treats her as their property. He doesn't want her to call him master, but instead, he calls her "inyo" .
