Back at the hotel, the guys are getting ready to go back to the hotel. The narrator asks the guys if it's okay to put their gear back in the back of the car so they can go out and take better pictures. The guys agree, and the narrator thanks them all for their help. He thanks the guys for taking better pictures than usual, and thanks the girls for letting him go out with them. The girls had a shower at their house, so the narrator feels free to go outside and take some pictures. He's not sure if he'll be able to take any more pictures, but he's glad to have the guys around to help him out. The boys tease the narrator about how much he remembers from his last day at school. He asks the narrator if he has scenes in his mind that he can clearly see. The guy replies that he does, but that he remembers only trivial scenes. He says that he was shocked when he saw the girl's eyes meet in the sex scene. He was "exuberant exaltation" at the sight, and that's how he describes it to the narrator: "a feverish exaltation / An excitement / That knows no end." The narrator is shocked at the idea that he only sleeps with love. He doesn't know what else to do. He can't believe that the narrator would lie to him about sleeping with a girl. He knows that the only thing that matters is "who you actually have" in front of his eyes.
