In this chapter, we learn that Hirokazu has gone back to his office to finish his law book. When he returns to the office, he finds that he has not been able to complete his work because he has eaten too much at a party. He tells his friend that he is so hungry that he cries. He asks the chef to make him some food so that he will be able to eat. The chef does so, and Hirokasue exclaims, "did something good /hap pen" . He then goes on to say that he feels like a "man one level higher" when he is able to say things like this. He wonders what happened to the high schooler who was in love with him after he left.
