He thinks about how obedient and patient she is, and how she's always smiling. He tells us that he hasn't seen him in a long time, and that the notice that he was about to beheaded was all over the place. He apologizes for not taking care of her properly, and says that he hopes she doesn't take the incident too seriously. He promises to help her find a new place for her to stay.
