"Whoosh, hey ! why arent you happy? wiggle, wiggle, tch ! I'm not happy" , says Ling. He's not happy because he thinks it makes him look "mature and cooler" . He wants to know why he's so unhappy. Ling tells him that he'll be back tomorrow, and then he has to leave. Ling wants to tell him another story, but first he wants to ask why he has such a thick skin . Ling says that his third brother, Fang, probably has a thicker skin than he does. He says that Fang's parents probably wouldn't agree with him, since they're "the god of dragons" and they don't want to be associated with a place like "yong'an." Ling wants Fang to come help him fetch some things, and he asks if he can stay with yun ge. Fang says that he doesn't know who yun'ge's family is, but he and Ling take her with them to the west because they think it's the "most valued treasure of the west." They're also going to take her back to the capital once she's older, since her parents probably won't allow her to stay there. Fang asks if they can go to the north or the ocean, and Ling says he'd go even if it meant encountering "lots of unhappy things." Fang reminds him that when god gives a gift to a child, it has to come with lots of different things. He reminds himself that he is the one who got the gift, and that if he is there, then the bad things in the world aren't as bad as they used to be. He promises to come and play with Fang at the capital.
