The light of the lantern is coming to a close, and the two men run into each other. They run into Miss pei, who tells them that the emperor didn't allow the young master to accompany her to the lantern display, and that the master is resting on his bed. Miss yun then asks why the young man is running around alone after his injuries have healed. The young man tells her that he wants to convince the emperor that his eldest son will not come to the palace to see the lantern displays. He also tells her to tell the imperial doctor not to treat him anymore with needles, and to throw some of the fragrant pellets into an incense burner to help him cough at night.
