He tries to explain that he is not a type, and that he does not want to be used as a tool in a battle between the wealthy and the poor. Instead, he wants to use his own talents to create a dish for a friend. He uses the song "Place swallow" as an example. The song is a popular folk song in the countryside, and the princess likes it so much that she gathers folk songs from outside and plays them in her palace. The young narrator then asks the princess if she would like to throw the young chef out of the palace.
