The next day, Ling Ling is still waiting for his brother outside the mountain. Ling Ling tries to convince him to leave, but Ling Ling won't listen. He tells Ling Ling that the emperor isn't in the palace, and Ling Ling says the emperor is waiting in Ling Ling's hall. He also tells Ling that he's still in pain, and that Ling Ling shouldn't be coming back to the palace. He says he'll never leave Ling Ling, even if Ling Ling stabs him with a sword, because Ling Ling can't take his heart out of him, and he'd have to chop it in pieces if he tried to kill Ling Ling. He asks Ling Ling to go with him to the west, where he can meet up with the emperor
