The next morning, the Governess returns to the Round House, where she is greeted by the third brother. He tells her that he has come to make her company, and he asks her to say hello to his third brother when she sees him. The Governess tells him that they met in the city of Chang'an many years ago, and that they will say their goodbyes there. She asks him if there is anything left for them to discuss. He says that he did not intend to only know her, but that he will be reunited with her. He asks her if she is planning to conspire with him again, and she says that she met the "perfect prince" in her dream. He turns out to be nothing like her. She tells him to get her horse and tells him not to think that he is different from her, in reality, there is no difference between them. She compares him to a little man who was busy chasing his brother, while looking back at him frequently. He is not like her, she says.
