Back at the palace, the doctor prescribes pain killers to the injured Bulgar. Bulgar tells the doctor that he has been waiting for Bulgar for so long that it is too late. He tells Bulgar that his brother-in-law is married and that he will not bother Bulgar any longer. The doctor says that a new girl has come to the palace and that the emperor visits her daily. The girl has refused to accept the emperor's visits, and Bulgar says that he can walk by himself to see if his heart will heal. He says that every time he sees the emperor, his heart breaks.
