The narrator tells the audience that tomorrow he and his family will go to an elder's house to thank him for his kindness. The elder will probably not say anything harsh about the family, and the narrator hopes that the elder will be kind to the family. The narrator then launches into a long speech about how the people of the city are very different from the people in the mountains, and how the rich and powerful live in the city. He says that he wants to fight the emperor to death, but the people are too weak to do so.
