He asks the beggar if he needs his help, and the beggar tells him that he almost cut his hand when he pawned his uncle's precious jade pendant. The pawnshop owner gave the pendant back to the beggar, but the beggar had to pay the original price. He's happy that the pawnshop guy gave him back the pendant, but he says that this is unreasonable.
