About This Chapter
The narrator asks the cat if he just got off work. The cat says that he must have worked very hard today. The narrator says that the air changes when the cat passes by, and he hears that Hiroshi has six appointments booked the day before. He says that if he were him, he would be exhausted, but Hiroshi never looks upset even though she is so busy. He thanks the cat for her kind words and wishes her luck in her future endeavors. He asks her if she ever gets bored with the same place, and she says that she hasn't relaxed in a long time. She says that sometimes she wishes she could spend more time enjoying the things around her. She asks him if he is always looking at her when she is out in the rain. He replies that he is sure he is looking for something important. She replies that she is sure she is going to get a cold, and asks him to pour water on her. He responds by saying that it is strange that he feels this way even though he was pelted with rain all night. He then asks if he can stay with her while she waits for something. She tells him that breakfast is ready and that she will be able to stay with him from now on.
