The chapter opens with a conversation between Aria, the president of the rowing team, and Akari, a young woman who works for the same company as Aria. Aria tells Akari that she is an undine, or apprentice, and that she works until she returns to her job. Akari tells Aria that she has come to see her friend, Miss Alicia, who is staying with a sister company called "himeya." Aria asks Akari if she is a stalker, and she tells him that she does not shut up. Aika asks Aria if he is helping her in her boat, and he tells her that it is not necessary, as the current is too strong. He tells her to become friends with her, and they shake hands.
