About This Chapter
The narrator and his friends have decided to follow a Japanese tradition and hold a moon-viewing party. Aria is eager to see the moon because she has never been to such a party before. The narrator explains that the city of Manhome used to be built above water, but that wells have been put in place to provide fresh drinking water. He explains that aqua, the moon, is always around it because of the forces of gravity and centrifugal force. He says that aqua's two moons are shaped like "potatoes" and that they were named after a Greek myth from Manhome. He also explains that they are the result of a lighting system that he has implemented underground.
