The chapter opens with Shmoop's reaction to Yonk's victory. He's excited to be the new karate master, but he's also worried that Yonk has taken too many blows to the head. Yonk, he says, can't really counter-attack because his body is so new. He also worries that the battle between Rakan and Zekka has come to an end. Rakan has killed both of them. Meanwhile, toji and Alita are still at an impasse. Alita's body is still half-dead, and Toji's is still alive. The chapter ends with Toji flying through the air with a "vacuum kick" . This is the kind of kick you'd expect from a kid who's just returned from a three-day absence.
