About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the King of Morocco is in the middle of a diplomatic crisis with the king of Spain. The King of Spain is angry because Morocco has been supporting the rebels against Morocco in the recent civil war in the Middle East. The king of Morocco, however, is not angry at the king, but at the King's lack of control over the situation. He tells the king that he is not armed with a gun, and that he does not want the king to interfere in the internal affairs of the kingdom. He asks the king if he likes the aquarium, and the king replies that it is not the same aquarium as the one on the king's television show. He says that he would like to see the kingdom's parliament united against the king and his allies. He also says that the king should be allowed to kill his own children, or capture children for use in an infantry. He claims that the kingdom parliament wants to preserve the natural cycle of war, and he says that both the King and the Minister of Justice want to kill their own children. He compares the duel he had with Pluto in 473, when he was thrown into space and survived by yoga techniques, to the battle he had against the rebels in the civil war. The order perished, save for the captain of the expedition, who was killed in the battle. The only woman he ever loved waslakshmi, and they were alone together in the dust, and she believed what he told her, and drifted to sleep, "like a baby," he says. The answer is obvious, he says: "my entire crew died that battle," and he cries out, "my heart is heavy."
