Aga Mbadi, the assistant chairman of the ladder, is worried about the safety of the city of ketheres. He fears that the city's inhabitants might be hostile to him, but he is confident that they have taken precautions to keep the city safe. He tells us that he is a member of the "high technocrat" and that he has been involved in a project called "the genetic engineering of the nurtured extra intelligence" . The project was to develop people of genius and level intellect. Mbadi explains that he and Rosa were involved in the project and that they must have known about it when they reached the "dna organ" , the part of the human body that contains the dna. Now, he tells us, he is free and will be with them until they know they are safe in the city.
