Everyone stops moving, except for the sergeant. He tells them that if they move, Captain Koren will be killed. The sergeant tries to shoot at Koren's legs and arms, but the volks rush in and shoot at him. Koren tries to get away from the officers, but they keep shooting at him anyway. He realizes that the officers are trying to corner him, and he tries to run away. The officers stop shooting, but Koren is still bleeding from the wound he got earlier in the fight. He tries to fight the officers with his bare hands, but he can't, because he's got a nerve in his arm.
