Even when he's not in his beast form, Nemo has a "sensitive sense of smell" that lets him know who's around him and what's going on around him. He remembers the smell of the woman who cleaned him up and treated him while he was drugged and slept. She stared at him and then went to sleep. Nemo wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes how much he can't see the woman when she's awake. He doesn't understand why the woman is trying to make him feel guilty. He's tired and wants to get some sleep. He asks the woman if it's hard to breathe, and she tells him to breathe slowly and not to hold his breath. He tells her to brush his breath and breathe lightly, and then he'll look at her and see if it has anything to do with the smell. She's pretty darn surprised that Nemo is suddenly like this, and he asks her to grab him. Nemo tells her that he feels a "reward" for his suffering so far, and that she should just let the injury on his back be the first thing to be treated. He says that he doesn1t get infected with most wounds and that his body is strong, so he won1t feel any pain. The woman asks if she can squeeze his tongue, and Nemo says that it feels fresh, but his body isn1t strong enough to pull it off. She asks if he can untie her, and when he says no, she says that she has to rip her so she can make that face.
