About This Chapter
The Governess is worried that the woman in the mine is about to collapse. She tries to get her to take off her wet clothes to dry her, but the woman refuses to do so, saying that it's too cold. She tells the Governess that she's a toy, and she'll help her if she needs it. She says that the fact that she was tormented by her own pain should've made her want to die, but she doesn't want to think about it. He tells her that if she wants anything, he'll do it for her. He says that she is nothing but a toy for him, and that she should be grateful that he's alive. He asks if she was involved in the incident with the reptile officer, and the woman says that it might have been while she was having a rendezvous with a red. He points out that a mine like this is dangerous for reptiles, so they should be in charge of rescuing the officer. The woman agrees to be part of a rescue team in exchange for her help.
