About This Chapter
This chapter opens with the voice of the Governess thanking God for her life. The Governess tells her sister how grateful she is that they can live. She tells her that she has been having dreams about her childhood ever since she met her. She asks her sister if she has seen a reptile form before. She says she has, but she doesn't know if it is normal or not. She also says that she was surprised when she saw the reptile form, but that she quickly attacked it. She adds that she will teach the reptile man a lesson. She then says that before she came, some rich foreigners built a house in the village, but they suddenly came to their house, tried to steal all of her friends, and tried to buy her and her sister. She promises to teach the foreigners a lesson if something happens. She warns her sister that if she does not treat outsiders well, she will be in trouble. The head teacher of the orphanage gets angry and sends the foreigners away. She refuses to sell them. She wants to buy them a candy bar with the food they brought from the foreigner. She wonders if the foreigners are trying to take over the orphanage because she grew up without parents.
